@00:19You're correct. Though there is limited information about this droid, the laws of physics would say that it wouldnt be too productive with a single wheel (a fact that I never really agreed upon). I went back and revisited the model and made that change, though I havent replaced any of the existing artwork with this droid in it yet. Thanks for the heads up!!

So I was researching droids and I came across this bugger, the S19 Astromech Droid. It was developed as competition to Industrial Automation's R-Series Droids. While it has some drawbacks to the widely popular R2 units, it fares better than some of the lesser R-series units such as the R4 and R5.

Essentially, If you want a 3D droid, there are plenty of R-Series droids available... some very high quality, some very poor. But if you are looking for something a bit more unique, like I do, its hard to find. So I decided I would take my model of my R2, chop it up, and turn it into the S19. Overall, Im happy with the way it came out, and surprised at how low I managed to keep the polycount (just under 19k).

I plan to incorporate this guy somethere in Diji's Droid-Stable somewhere. Not sure if it will see duty on his flagship, or his hangarship, but it will see duty somewhere... I really like the shape of these things... sort-of a R-series / EG-6 hybrid.

I don't have the model in an exported form as of right now, and having some experience with game design myself, I will tell you the poly count on this model is quite high. I'm pretty busy with my real job at the moment, but if you are willing to give me some time, I will see if I can both export this as a .obj or something, and maybe put together a low res version for use in games.

@00:19It looks great, but I have one slight note to make. I took a close look at the picture from the Scavenger's Guide to Droids and noticed that it seems to drive on a pair of tracks instead of just one solid one. It would be impossible to turn on a single track.
